Altar Guild

The Altar Guild is a group of women (men are always welcome) who serve behind the scenes in preparing the Nave for Holy Eucharist.  Duties include washing linens, caring for silver chalices, cruets etc. The Altar Guild also serves as the director for all weddings if so desired by the bride, and cares for all pall and communion needs related to funerals at the church.  As the seasons of the church calendar change, the Altar Guild is responsible for changing the vestment colors and decorating for Advent, Christmas, Holy Week and Easter.  We are always looking for new members who find this work gratifying.  Scheduling can be done to suit the members’ calendar thus making it a great way for those who work outside the home to contribute to our parish life.
