Chasing Snakes 10k Road Race
14 March 2009
13 March 2010
THANKS TO THE EFFORTS of our dedicated committee, our many volunteers, our friends at Interfaith Hospitality Network, the City of Johnson City, the police department, our sponsors and the efforts of the State of Franklin Track Club, the inaugural Chasing Snakes 10k Road Race was a huge success. We were able to raise $3700 for our friends at IHN. In an effort to raise funds and awareness for Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greater Johnson City, volunteers from St John's organized Johnson City's first St Patrick's Day race, to be held every year on the Saturday closest to St Patrick's Day. IHN is a network of churches and community agencies in the Johnson City area who coordinate to provide support for homeless families. Our community at St John's Episcopal Church is actively involved in supporting IHN, and partnered with other IHN churches in our area to coordinate this race.
