Altar Guild – Altar Guild members are responsible for set-up of all weekly services, as well as any baptisms, weddings, funerals or other special services during the year. They provide care for candles, silver, linens, seasonal decorations, and vestments. Contact Jo Anne Paty for more information.
Lay Eucharistic Ministers (LEM) – These ministers assist the clergy with the distribution of the sacraments. Contact John Dotson for more information.
Lay Eucharistic Visitors (LEV) – Lay Eucharistic Visitors take the consecrated bread and wine to the home-bound on behalf of the congregation. Contact John Dotson for more information.
Acolytes – Acolytes are children and youth, 2nd grade through high school, who assist at the altar and in liturgical processions. Contact Tyler Rentz for more information.
Choir – The choir leads the hymns and psalms, and presents offertory anthems during the 10:30 Eucharist. The choir presents a Festival of Lessons and Carols at Christmas as well as other special musical events throughout the year. It rehearses every Wednesday at 7 p. m., August through May. Lectors – Lectors read the appointed scripture from the pulpit. Contact Wesley Buerkle for more information.
Healing Ministry Team – This team provides individualized prayer for healing at both services twice per month at the side altar. Contact Father Hal Hutchison rectorstj@charterinternet.com for more information.
Ushers – Ushers greet parishioners and guests and distribute bulletins, take up the offering, keep attendance count, guide the communion process, recruit someone to read the Prayers of the People, and rotate lockup of the building. Contact Ken Johnson or Clarence McKinney for more information.
Altar Flowers – Schedules the donation of flowers for the altar. Flowers may be given in thanksgiving, in honor, or in memory of a loved one. Contact Harriett Cone for more information.
Scheduling – Manages the scheduling of participants for all aspects of worship opportunities including Lay Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors, Ushers, Building Closers, Acolytes, Altar Guild, Sound Technician, Coffee Shop, and GAIN. Contact Stacie Fox for more information.
Children’s Service of the Word – This worship experience, intended for pre-K to 2nd graders, is led by the Children’s Director of Christian Education and/or lay volunteers in the chapel during a portion of the 10:30 am service. Contact Deven Johnson for more information.
